You can receive a fax online for free without a fax machine. StillFaxing.com lends you a fax number for 4 hours, and you don’t need an account.
Disposable email addresses and VPN or proxy connections are refused, so use a permanent address and turn off any VPN first.
Get your free fax number
- Enter your email on the StillFaxing.com home page and press Get my number.
- Within 30 minutes, open our email and press Get my number in it.
- Press Start my number before those 30 minutes are up. Your 4 hours begin then.
- Give the number to whoever is faxing you.
- Each fax appears on your number’s page, and we email you a link to download it as a PDF.
Start your number when the sender is ready
Check that the sender has the document in hand before you press Start my number. The 30 minutes start when you request the number, so get the sender ready before that. Then ask them to fax right away. A fax sent after your time is up may not reach you.
Read the number back to them. One wrong digit is a common reason a fax never shows up. If no email comes, check your number’s page and your spam folder.
Save your faxes and keep the link private
Faxes are encrypted shortly after receipt and deleted 7 days after they arrive. Download each one as soon as you get it.
Keep the email with your number’s link. It’s the only way back to the page.
Extend the number or send a reply
To keep the number longer, add 24 hours for $1.99 or 7 days for $4.99 from its page before time runs out.
You can also send from that page. Upload a PDF, PNG or JPEG, enter a fax number and press Send fax. A free number can send 2 faxes, up to 20 pages in total. Extending it lets you send more. Each fax goes out from your number with a StillFaxing.com cover page, so replies come back to you.
