Your phone’s browser is all you need to get a fax. StillFaxing.com lends you a temporary fax number for 4 hours, and you only need an email address. Faxes show up on the number’s page, and you get an email with a link to each PDF.

How to receive a fax on your phone

  1. Open StillFaxing.com in your phone’s browser, type your email and tap Get my number.
  2. In the email we send you, tap the Get my number button. The link works for 30 minutes.
  3. When the sender is ready, tap Start my number. Your 4 hours begin then.
  4. Copy the fax number and send it to whoever is faxing you.
  5. Keep the email with your number’s link. Its Open my number button is the only way back to your number’s page.
  6. When a fax arrives, you get an email with a link to the PDF.

A fax sent after your time is up may not reach you. If you’re still waiting, add 24 hours for $1.99 or 7 days for $4.99 from the number’s page before time runs out.

The full walkthrough is in how to receive a fax online.

To save a fax, tap Download PDF in the fax email or the PDF button on your number’s page.

Save the fax PDF on an iPhone

Choose Download and the file goes to the Downloads folder in the Files app. If it opens for viewing instead, tap Share, then Save to Files.

If Gmail or Outlook opens the link and nothing downloads, open it in Safari instead.

Save the fax PDF on an Android phone

Chrome saves it to your Downloads folder. Open it from your Files app, which may be called Files by Google or My Files.

If Gmail opens the link in its own browser, copy it into Chrome.

If the site turns you away or the email is missing

StillFaxing.com doesn’t work over a VPN or proxy, so turn yours off until your number has started.

Disposable email addresses won’t work either. If our email doesn’t show up after a minute, look in spam or promotions.
