Many online fax companies offer a free trial that asks for a credit card. When the trial ends, the plan renews on its own and you’re billed for a month. Free plans without a card usually only let you send, so they can’t give you a number to receive on.
Get a temporary number in a few minutes
Your number lasts 4 hours from the moment you start it.
- Enter your email on the StillFaxing.com home page and press Get my number.
- Open the email we send you and press Get my number. The link works for 30 minutes.
- Press Start my number, then give the number to whoever is faxing you.
- Wait for the fax. It shows up on the number’s page, and we email you a link to download it as a PDF.

You can also fax back from the number’s page. Upload a PDF, PNG or JPEG, enter a fax number and press Send fax. Free numbers send 2 faxes, up to 20 pages in total. Each fax goes out from your number with a StillFaxing.com cover page.
Each fax is encrypted shortly after it arrives. Keep the email you get when your number starts. Its link is the only way back to your number’s page.
You can’t pick an area code or keep the number. Numbers are reused, but each one sits idle for a while before the next borrower gets it.
When your time runs out
If your fax arrives in time, you pay nothing. If you’re still waiting, add 24 hours for $1.99 or 7 days for $4.99 from the number’s page before it ends. Extensions add sending too. A day adds 10 faxes and 100 pages, and a week adds 50 faxes and 500 pages. You pay once and nothing renews.
When your time is up, your number ends. A fax sent after that may not reach you, and an ended number can’t be started again. You can get another free number, but it’ll have different digits.
Faxes stay on the number’s page for 7 days after they arrive, then they’re deleted. Download any fax you want to keep.
